On June the 14-th we have realized next , second
event out of our project
Active Weekends. This event was organized
by Ania Kozik and
Kuba Sulewski.
This time volunteers took part in our excursion
.In August
most of them will
go with us on our summer camp. We wanted to achieve two
things this way - to spend some time without parents and
also to show our helpers how they can help us in our
daily situations.
Visit in the Palace
on the Water was a first part of this day and here we
had a small
disappointment. A
Royal
Bathrooms
Palace
hasn’t got
entrance that is suitable for people on the wheelchair.
We sad on the phone that we were a group of
people on wheelchairs but
they forgot to put a special rumple outside of the main
entrance to the
Palace. So we had to use our volunteers’ help to
go up a few
steps before the
front door.
We had a
chance to visit only the ground -floor because the
first- floor hasn’t got
an elevator. Interior of the Palace is very beautiful,
we have seen a King’s collection of art and
portraits, Ballroom and very nice room
where the famous Thursday’s Diners where organized.
From the windows inside the rooms we could see the
beautiful view on
the park which surrounds the palace.
Our guide has told us many interesting things
about the palace, it’s history
and about people who played
active role in
Polish history at that moment. After visiting Palace
we went for a walk through the
Royal
Garden. We had a chance to
see other buildings situated there, beautiful plants,
birds and animals like peacock and squirrel, very
characteristic to
that place. At the end of our excursion we went to a
very nice cafeteria to
eat something sweet and to talk about our impression
concerning
this event.
